About Me
Hello, My name is Braydan, I'm a licensed Ham radio operator, avid
outdoors-man and tech enthusiast. This is my little sliver of the
internet. This place represents my personality, who I am, and what
I like to do. Feel free to poke around and explore the blogs I write.
I studied web development for 4 years at Dauphin County Technical
School. I consider this a big part in my life as it shaped me
into who I am today and taught me to have appreciation for my
work. I am also an Eagle Scout, which has taught me that hard
work can get almost anywhere you want to go if you put your mind
to it. This mindset is what drives me today, and I have to say it
works well.
I worked for the county in an IT support role, where I further
learned more about IT especially in the support role and really
enjoyed it. After all It gave me a point of view on how technology
gets used by the average Joe, and how I can apply that into my
projects (this website).
I enjoy talking to people, which made the Helpdesk role easy for
me when it may become stressful or difficult for other people.
This also ropes me into my biggest hobby and interest, and by
far an expensive one. And that is amateur radio, or ham radio
for short. Some people say its “an old person hobby” but I don't
think that's the case. I enjoy being able to talk to someone
halfway across the country and talk about a common interest.
What is particularly nice about this hobby I can talk these huge distances without any hops between a computer network. We live in a world that were there isn't a lot of communication between people, and being able to talk to understand people and what there saying is very critical in today's day and age.
